For students undertaking this course, the aims are to:

1-      Provide basic knowledge in physical chemistry that will facilitate understanding of subsequent courses of physical chemistry and to apply the studded topics in different related areas.

2-      Introduce the course of thermodynamics which discuss the chemical applications, physical interpretation and simplifying the mathematical developments. Again, provides the most general and efficient methods for studying and understanding complex physical phenomena. So, the students have learned to analyze a chemical process by thermodynamic methods.

3-      Introduce the course of chemical kinetics which is a branch of physical chemistry which concerns with the study the velocity of chemical reactions and with the elucidation of the mechanisms by which they proceed.
