Launching the New Valley University Award for Government Excellence in its first session, 2025

Under the patronage of Professor Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of New Valley University, and the supervision of Professor Mustafa Mahmoud, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the University, New Valley University launched the Ambassadors of Excellence Program at the university's faculties. This step supports the consolidation of a culture of institutional excellence within Egyptian public universities for the year 2025. The program was attended by 14 ambassadors representing seven of the university's faculties. Professor Mohamed Abdel Azim, Team Leader and Director of the Award Department at the National Award, lectured at the program. Professor Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the University, speaking on behalf of the University President, stated that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence comes within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to achieve the Sustainable Development Strategy and Egypt Vision 2030 to create an efficient and effective administrative apparatus. He pointed out that applying for the Government Excellence Award works to develop institutional performance and spread the culture of institutional excellence and a leadership mindset that believes in the importance of creativity, innovation, and quality performance among members of the academic and administrative bodies. It also encourages competitiveness among government institutions at all levels, as well as shedding light on outstanding models of institutions and individuals in the government sector. Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Team Leader and Director of the Award Department at the National Award, expressed his pleasure at participating in the launch of the Ambassadors of Excellence qualification program at the New Valley University faculties. He emphasized the need to build specialized teams of qualified professionals to implement the internal awards system efficiently and professionally, in coordination and cooperation between the Supreme Council of Universities and the Ministry of Planning. This is part of the plan to develop academic and institutional performance within higher education and to promote a culture of institutional excellence. He emphasized that this system contributes to creating a spirit of constructive competition among the various faculties and departments and raising the efficiency of university performance. He explained that the program aimed to train and qualify specialized work teams to serve as a link with the Egypt Award for Government Excellence and to establish the foundations of quality and sustainable excellence across the university's various faculties and departments.
