The Intellectual Property Office at New Valley University participates in the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day under the slogan "Music Lives with Intellectual Property"

Under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Abdel Aziz Tantawi, President of New Valley University, the Intellectual Property Office at New Valley University participated in the celebration of World Intellectual Property Day, which was held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Society of Engineers under the theme "Music Pulses with Intellectual Property." The event was organized by the American-Arab Intellectual Property Association in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of Engineers. The event was held at the invitation of Dr. Haitham Attia, President of the American-Arab Intellectual Property Association, and Dr. Samia Makram Ibrahim Mustafa, Director of the Intellectual Property Office at New Valley University and Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science. Dr. Samia Makram stated that the celebration included specialized lectures on music copyright, workshops for interactive discussions with experts in the field, and a large attendance of participants, including professors of arts and sciences, artists from the Arab world, and stars of acting and art. Also in attendance were the distinguished artist Tayseer Fahmy, the distinguished artist Aida Riad, the artist Mirna Walid, the family of the late distinguished artist Saeed Saleh, Sheikh Mahmoud Yassin Al-Tahami, the family of the late Libyan musician Al-Hadi Al-Sharif, the head of the Tunisian Musicians Syndicate Maher Al-Hammami, the Libyan artist Nasser Al-Mazdawi, and the musician Majdi Al-Husseini. She added that World Intellectual Property Day 2025 highlights how creativity and innovation, supported by intellectual property rights, contribute to maintaining a thriving music scene that benefits everyone, everywhere. At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Samia Makram Ibrahim Mustafa, Director of the Intellectual Property Office at New Valley University, was honored and presented to the office a shield of thanks and appreciation from the American-Arab Intellectual Property Association in recognition of her valuable efforts in delivering awareness lectures on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day and promoting a culture of protecting artistic creativity.
